CAMPBELL, Calif., June 26, 2018 – Justin Alexander, the award-winning designer of wedding dresses and accessories, has successfully gone live with Centric Software’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution for small to medium enterprises, Centric SMB. Centric Software provides the most innovative enterprise solutions to fashion, retail, footwear, outdoor, luxury and consumer goods companies to achieve strategic and operational digital transformation goals.
Justin Alexander is a third-generation bridal wear company. Justin Alexander entered the bridal headpiece and veil market in 1946 and has grown into a global force in wedding dress design. Their bridal gowns have vintage appeal with a modern edge, combining graceful construction with clean and classic details. Today, Justin Alexander’s five core, one private label and two licensed collections are sold in more than 70 countries by more than 1,500 authorized retailers.
Justin Alexander selected Centric PLM in February 2018, after considering several leading vendors. The business chose to implement Centric SMB, Centric’s flexible, cloud-based SaaS PLM solution for small to medium brands. The project was completed in just 6 weeks, going live according to schedule in April 2018.
“We started this PLM project because we have become a design house more than a bridal manufacturer, and we needed to put a foundation in place that would prioritize creative work while leveraging our manufacturing knowledge,” explains Justin Warshaw, President and Co-Creative Director at Justin Alexander. “We chose Centric SMB because we knew that the platform would help our large team of designers and license partners to collaborate and communicate instantly and digitally, reducing the laborious and time-consuming work of manual data entry and consolidation.”
“When we had a chance to demo the software, we thought it was a perfect fit because of the different configurations available and of how user-friendly the whole experience was,” says Warshaw. “The Excel-like interface and the ability to work across different countries and currencies were stand-out features for us. We couldn’t wait to get started.”
Justin Alexander’s implementation of Centric SMB went smoothly, and initial feedback from the team is excitement to get started with a new way of working and they’re looking forward to the benefits of improved data accuracy, says Warshaw.
“We have just gone live with Centric SMB; implementation was right on schedule. We are eliminating time-consuming, manual data entry in multiple spreadsheets and finding all our data in a single digital space. Now, sketches and prototypes are immediately visible on the PLM platform and people can give feedback at every stage in the design and product development process. Centric SMB is helping us to speed time to market, cut costs and errors, and save us time so our teams can focus on creative innovation.”
